This is Eoin. Founder of Tipple.
When he came to me, he had gotten a few co-investor tickets but was struggling to find a lead.
Something was missing, but he wasn’t sure what.
Eoin got some bad advice early in his fundraise.
Advisors told him to stick to a smaller market and pitch how he’ll get to $2M ARR.
→ Not a Billion $ Story

Well-meaning advice that wasn’t any good

At first, he didn’t notice the impact of this strategy.
His investor meetings felt positive. And VCs told him that they thought his was a great business.
Yet…
Within a week or two they all passed on the deal.
How come?
The feedback loop in fundraising is broken.
VCs will always be friendly. Meetings will always feel positive when you leave them.
But only hard commitments count in the end.

So here’s what we did:
→ We made a convincing case for conquering a bigger market
→ We adjusted how he pitched his business model
→ We crafted a Billion $ Vision Story
→ We put some sprinkles on his founder story
